Storage Instructions

All products from House of Compounds are manufactured using a lyophilization (freeze-drying) process. This method is designed to maintain product integrity and allows vials to remain stable during shipping for approximately 3–4 months.

Once a vial is reconstituted with bacteriostatic water, it should be stored in the refrigerator to help maintain stability. Under these conditions, reconstituted material is generally considered stable for up to 30 days.

Lyophilization is a dehydration technique in which compounds are frozen and then exposed to low pressure. This causes the water in the vial to sublimate directly from solid to gas, leaving behind a stable, crystalline white structure. This powder can be kept at room temperature until reconstitution.

Upon receipt, products should be stored away from heat and light. For short-term use, refrigeration at approximately 4°C (39°F) is suitable. For long-term storage (several months to years), vials may be placed in a freezer at approximately -80°C (-112°F). Freezing is the preferred method for preserving product stability over extended periods.

Energy-replenishing, mitochondria-targeted hydrogel microspheres mitigate sarcopenia via cellular senescence amelioration.

Journal of controlled release : official journal of the Controlled Release Society 2026

Sarcopenia is a degenerative skeletal muscle disorder closely associated with aging, characterized by the gradual loss of muscle mass and function, which severely impacts the quality of life in the elderly. Based on the core pathological mechanism of sarcopenia, namely the deficiency of Nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide (NAD(+)) induced mitochondrial dysfunction, this study has developed a novel Energy-replenishing hydrogel microsphere (NMN@Lipo-s@AHM) for the targeted delivery of Nicotinamide Mononucleotide (NMN) to muscle cells through local injection.

Endothelial NAD depletion drives vascular senescence and neuroinflammation via mtDNA-cGAS/STING-CD38 signaling in Alzheimer's disease.

Alzheimer's & dementia : the journal of the Alzheimer's Association 2026

BACKGROUND: Endothelial dysfunction has emerged as early and pivotal event in Alzheimer's disease (AD), yet the molecular mechanisms linking vascular aging to neuroinflammation remain elusive. METHODS: We used APP/PS1 mice and amyloid beta (Aβ)-challenged brain endothelial cells (BECs) to understand the mechanisms of nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide (NAD) deficiency, and its relationship with endothelial senescence and neuroinflammation in AD pathology.

Loss of REST associated with Alzheimer's disease pathology is ameliorated by NAD.

Brain : a journal of neurology 2026

Downregulation and inactivation of the Repressor Element 1-Silencing Transcription factor (REST) is shown in Alzheimer's disease (AD) and likely contributes to its progression, but the exact molecular mechanism linking REST reduction to AD remains unclear. These findings reveal a new mechanism of action for NAD+ and highlight REST as a promising therapeutic target for AD therapy.

From Pharmacophore to Warhead: NAD-Targeting Triazoles as Mechanism-Based Sirtuin Inhibitors.

Angewandte Chemie (International ed. in English) 2025

Here, we report a new class of mechanism-based 1,2,3-triazole inhibitors that hijack SIRT catalysis by forming stalled triazolium- or triazole-ADP-ribose (ADPR) adducts derived from the cofactor NAD. Beyond SIRTs, this inhibition strategy may extend to other NAD⁺-dependent enzymes, including ADP-ribosyltransferases, opening new avenues for mechanism-driven drug discovery.

TIGAR coordinates senescence-associated secretory phenotype via lysosome repositioning and α-tubulin deacetylation.

Experimental & molecular medicine 2024

TP53-induced glycolysis and apoptosis regulator (TIGAR) regulates redox homeostasis and provides the intermediates necessary for cell growth by reducing the glycolytic rate. During cellular senescence, cells undergo metabolic rewiring towards the glycolytic pathway, along with the development of the senescence-associated secretory phenotype (SASP), also known as the secretome.

Damage-Associated Molecular Patterns and Systemic Signaling.

Phytopathology 2024

These so-called damage-associated molecular patterns (DAMPs) function through plasma membrane localized pattern recognition receptors to regulate wound and immune responses. In plants, DAMPs act as elicitors themselves, often inducing immune outputs such as calcium influx, reactive oxygen species generation, defense gene expression, and phytohormone signaling.

Frequently Asked Questions

Essential information about our research-grade peptides and quality standards.

Peptides are short chains of amino acids linked by peptide bonds, typically consisting of 2-50 amino acids. They serve as the building blocks of proteins and play crucial roles in biological processes.

Research peptides are synthesized versions of naturally occurring peptides, manufactured to precise specifications for use in scientific studies.

Key characteristics: High purity (≥98%), lyophilized form for stability, accompanied by Certificates of Analysis (COA), and manufactured under strict quality control protocols.

Peptide purity refers to the percentage of the target peptide present in a sample, measured via High-Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC).

Our Standard: All our research peptides maintain ≥98% purity, verified by third-party laboratory testing and documented in our Certificates of Analysis.

Higher purity is critical for research because impurities can interfere with experimental results and compromise the reproducibility of studies.

All products are supplied in lyophilized powder form within sterile, sealed vials. This format provides:

  • Maximum stability: Extended shelf life compared to liquid solutions
  • Precise measurement: Researchers can work with desired quantities
  • Contamination protection: Sealed vials prevent environmental exposure
  • Shipping durability: Powder form is more stable during transit

Lyophilized peptides:

  • Store at -4°F for long-term storage (up to 24 months)
  • Store at 36-46°F (refrigerated) for short-term storage (up to 3 months)
  • Keep away from light, moisture, and repeated temperature fluctuations

We supply research-grade peptides to:

  • Academic and university research laboratories
  • Pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies
  • Independent research institutions
  • Licensed professionals conducting legitimate scientific research

We maintain rigorous quality control through a multi-step verification process:

  • HPLC Analysis: Every batch tested to verify ≥98% purity
  • Mass Spectrometry: Molecular weight confirmation for peptide identity
  • Third-Party Testing: Independent laboratory verification
  • Sterility Protocols: Aseptic handling and packaging procedures
  • Batch Documentation: Complete traceability from synthesis to delivery

"Research Use Only" (RUO) is a classification indicating that a product is intended exclusively for laboratory research and experimental investigation.
